Description
Rose oil is one of the most sought after oils. It takes 60,000 roses to make 1 oz of oil and about 10,000 pounds of rose blossoms to make 1 pound of oil. Rose oil is best used for fighting depression, skin health, and as an aphrodisiac. Because of the scarcity and expense our rose oil is available in two forms: at a 28% dilution with jojoba, and as 100% pure rose oil.
Uses
Depression: Inhaling rose oil has been known to slow breathing and blood pressure rates and enhances ones relaxation response. A recent study showed that among 28 postpartum women suffering with depression the ones who were allowed to receive aromatherapy using rose oil reported marked improvements in their anxiety and depression symptoms as compared to those who did not.
Skin health: There are many qualities of rose essential oil that make it beneficial for skin. Rose oil is anti-bacterial & anti-microbial which can help those who suffer with acne. Another reason to use rose essential oil for skin health is because of its uncanny ability to increase your skins permeability. What this means is that using rose oil in your skin care allows your skin to better absorb nutrients. Due to its anti inflammatory nature and cooling and soothing properties, it works well for dry, hot, inflamed, or itchy skin. It can also work well for preventing scarring, treating broken capillaries.

How to Use
Rose oil can be used topically or diffused. If you choose to diffuse rose oil be sure you are using pure rose oil and not the rose oil diluted in jojoba because the jojoba may damage your diffuser. And as always be sure to dilute your essential oil with a carrier before applying topically.
