Mentha piperita

 

When applied directly on the skin, peppermint essential oil is stimulating and feels tingly. Peppermint essential oil contains high levels of menthol, a naturally occurring organic compound. Menthol not only cools the skin, but has medicinal properties. Traditionally, peppermint in general has been used for digestive problems.

One of my favorites. I use it all year round. I blend it with Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, and Lavender and mist my mattress when I change my bedding.

Peppermint Oil

This oil has a strong minty smell and putting a few drops in my diffusers work wonders for clearing my sinuses. This oil works great for headaches when I put a little on the back my neck.
