Description

Beet Powder is made from the red, fleshy root portion of the beet plant after the root hairs and green tops have been removed. One pound of beet powder re-hydrated is approximately equal to 9 pounds of fresh, unprepared beets. Beet powder is popular in traditional Flemish and Slav cooking, but also works well for adding color, flavor and a nutrient boost to a variety of domestic fare. Our beet powder is kosher certified and non-irradiated.

Directions

Use approximately 1/3 cup water to re-hydrate 2 tablespoons of product. Hot or boiling water rehydrates instantly.

Suggested Uses

Mix into smoothies, applesauce and tomato sauce. Use for coloring in red velvet cupcakes.

Beet Powder is the perfect heart healthy addition to meals, teas and smoothies!

We buy natural products from Aromatic Infusions as one method to take care of our health. My husband needs protection of his heart health, and of course it benefits us all. The beet powder tastes so smooth and for folks who don't enjoy eating beats, it's tastier and with all the health benefits.

I use it in a large batch of tea with hibiscus and rose hips (both also provide heart benefits) and each person can add their own sweetener to taste.

I also add the beat powder to pasta sauces and salad dressings and it blends perfectly with the other flavors.
