Matcha is a high quality green tea made from the young, nutrient rich tips of the camelia sinensis plant leaves. The leaves are then dried and stone ground into a fine powder. 1 cup of matcha has 5x's more antioxidants than any other food and has 15x's more than blueberries and pomegranates! Matcha is especially high in catechin, or more specifically epigallocatechin gallate (EGCg) which is the most potent and beneficial antioxidant. EGCg is most noted for its cancer fighting properties.
Matcha increases energy and endurance. It contains less caffeine than coffee but has a large and unique nutritional profile making it a great replacement for coffee. The increased endurance can last up to 6 hours because of its high L-Theanine levels. L-Theanine is an amino acid that promotes the production of alpha waves in the brain which induces relaxation without inherent drowsiness. L-Theanine also stimulates serotonin and dopamine production. All of this with no feelings of nervousness or jitters. HOW to USE
To Use: 1 tsp. powder to 2 oz of hot, not boiling, water
Can also be added to smoothies or enjoyed as a latte by adding to warm milk.
